Current.org, an editorially independent publication of American University School of Communication for People in Public Media, is the online repository and resource for news in public media. But more than just news, Current positions itself as an information hub, providing informative content, vital resources, historical data, and jobs and opportunities all within the engrossing fields of Public Media in America.
Over a year went into the planning and building of the site - taking careful steps to properly organize and structure the wealth of content. We helped curate special features and plugins to make the content more engaging and shareable, utilizing Disqus, custom Tweet feeds, and numerous featured content carousels. We also set them up with a comprehensive CMS that provides full control over their content - everything from posting news articles and jobs to expanding the site’s overall structure.
The culmination of an enormous team effort, the launch of Current.org was a proud milestone for all of us here at Aardvark and we are excited to keep tracking their progress as they grow larger and larger!
